Hi Charles,

Regarding the reference circuit for the DS320PR410, I noticed several resistors and capacitors populated on certain pins. What is the purpose of these components, and are they mandatory for the final assembly?

Hi Jeff,

The PCIe CEM spec requires add-in cards to terminate static signals with 1pF capacitor and 42.5 Ω resistor. This to avoid crosstalk and resonance between high speed and auxiliary signals.
