SN65LVDS1: Requesting product technical information

Part Number: SN65LVDS1

Hii, The part number SN65LVDS1DBVR can support input type as LVTTL but at the same time in the datasheet it is mentioned that it allows operation with 3.3-V TTL as well as 5-V TTL  logic . So if we give continuous TTL signal for long run will it cause any reliability issue eventhough it has the tolerant of 5V?Kindly assist me regarding this query.

  • The recommended operating conditions show that an input voltage of 5 V is always allowed.

  • Hi Kaviya,

The Recommended Operating Conditions table in the datasheet states the ranges at which the device can operate with zero degradation in reliability. As Clemens mentioned the max VIH limit in that table is 5V, so yes, the device can maintain a 5V input for a long period of time without any reliability issues.

    Regards,

    Matt
