TUSB319-Q1: TUSB319 Exposed Pad connenction

I would recommend connecting the pad to ground. There is no hard requirement as to whether it should be grounded or floating though.

Thanks for the response Ryan - Just a quick followup. The datasheet specifies a hole diameter of 0.3mm for the via in the centre pad. Is there any issue with reducing this slightly? Our manufacturing partner would prefer a larger annular ring in the top pad.

Hi Jack,

Lowering the via size will increase the impedance to ground slightly. If that's okay with the customer, then I don't have any issues with this.
