If we are going to use the component for only the following functions, what would be the evaluation of the Component Class under ISO26262 part 8 Clause 13

Power supply generation and NOT for monitoring
Watchdog(Monitor the Microcontroller)

Will that be fit under Class II or Class III?

Hi Kasi,

I would say this is a Class II device since you cannot load any custom firmware onto it. The only programming involved for the device is writing registers that only accept a predefined list of configurations.
