Part Number: TPD12S015A
Hi! could you please confirm maximum current this 5VOUT can provide? I belive 500mA will put device into short circuit protection.
Once this maximum is hit- what is the device behavior?
Thanks,
Cameron

The absolute max I_out is 100 mA when 55 mA is the typical value,.
So 55~100mA, the silicon may still function as designed; when > 100 mA, 5V cannot be maintained and will drop, and may trigger OCP.

There's no description on how the OCP works so I'm not clear. Generally a OCP performs a shutoff rather than current clamping/rail drop.

Hi Sam,
1. I don't see any public-released information about the OC mechanism.
2. Based on the HDMI spec 2.2 if the cable pulls too much power it's a fault condition, and i believe you should see a disconnect
3. Test with your HW design to verify is suggested.
