Hi Joel,

We haven't characterized this device for USB. Is there some background on why you're looking into this device instead of a USB redriver device?

I found TUSB1044A which is for USB. I am not sure this will work as it only has 11 dB of equalization. USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable can have up to 6 dB loss per meter. So 5M cable cable can have 30 dB loss.

Hi Joel,

I'm checking to see if there are additional USB options available. Looking at TUSB1044A, it has bidirectional channels. The DS100BR210 has unidirectional channels, so I'm thinking it may not be a good fit.

Hi Joel,

We also have TUSB1002A. This supports 15 dB loss.

We haven't tested DS100BR210 for USB, so I can't recommend this device for this application.
