DS90UB925Q-Q1: input format issue

Dear team,

Currently, there is a project requiring the use of the DS90UB925 with an RGB666 input format. Please review the schematic, focusing on whether the RGB666 input is correct.
Additionally: The customer requires an RGB888 image format, but since the SOC only supports RGB666 and the customer's vehicle system is in mass production, please confirm whether this connection method can meet the customer's requirements (acceptable degradation in image quality)

Hi Allen,

If the display is expecting RGB888 data but the SoC only transmits RGB666, it is possible that the image may not be brought up correctly given that you will be missing six bits of color depth that the display requires. Given that the SerDes devices simply pass through the video received from the SoC to the TCON, this is largely a question for the SoC and TCON vendors. I would strongly suggest consulting further with the SoC and TCON vendors further to determine if this SoC can be used to drive video to this particular TCON or if this TCON can somehow accept video with lower color depth.
