Putting the device in sleep mode similar to table 9-1 is not impacted by TXD. Furthermore, please note that the device includes an internal pull-down as shown in the figure in section 9.2. Hence, it should not actually float and the sleep functionality not affected as long as EN is not high for the intended sleep mode per figure 9-4, thanks.

As per our software design, if any pulse or movement appears on the RX pin, it wakes up the MCU (which we want to avoid). That’s why I wanted to check: if the TX pin is left floating or has a weak pull-down internally (in our design, TX does not have any pull-up or pull-down from either hardware or software), will this affect LIN functionality?

Understood. However, RXD should be floating in sleep mode and sleep mode should not affect functionality, thanks.
