DP83867IRPAP-EVM: DP83867 compliance test failure

Hi TI team,

I'm using DP83867IRPAP and encounter one failure in 1000base-t compliance test, channel B peak point A/B test failed, the deviation between A and B exceed the high limit 1%. And I found the output direct from DP83867 also have the deviation, how can I solve this issue?

Hello Jesse,

The EVM is designed for functionality purposes and may not be optimized for compliance. However, the performance looks marginal. From a functionality standpoint, do you see communication errors when implementing reverse loopback?

Hi Gerome, actually I'm using DP83867IRPAP in my project, there is no communication error, but I have to pass the compliance test. do you have any suggestion to fix the peak point failure? thanks!

Hello,

You are using the IC in your design and not the EVM? If so, can you please share your schematic and layout? I would like to check that nothing from a hardware side is contributing to the issues before going software.
