TCAN1043A-Q1: nFAULT Pin low issue

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1

We are using two CAN IC's in our system , but during transition to sleep mode when STBN pin goes low at a similar time, the nFault pin also goes down, so the system is not going in sleep mode . Please check below image .

Queries :

  1. Why nFault pin go low ?
  2. Is it required to monitor nFault pin during transition to sleep mode ?

    Hi Rajat,

    1. nFault is going low most likely due to one of the cases from table 7-1 and would recommend to confirm which pertains to your case.

    2. Not required but may be useful to tell if there's a fault and why, similar to table 7-1, thanks.
