Low cost MIPI CSI interface to OVM7692 Video chip

I am still struggling with a low cost image interface.

I did find the OVM7692 (new version of OVM7690 used in FPGA kit) module

has the MIPI CSI serial interface.

I'm not sure if it is CSI-1 or CSI-2 - and when I goto the MIPI forum I frankly can't find the CSI-1 spec.

I have been looking at the CSI-2 spec and I think it has a low data rate

1Mhz mode that may allow a CMOS interface (instead of additional interface

chip).

I am wondering if anyone at TI has hacked an interface using the Stellaris

and this MIPI CSI-2 interface to grab frames at low data rates?

If not, I could go with the FPGA idea, but I will need help with a lower

cost design than what is in the Dev Kit.

Can you help?
