Yes, you can fix the G and /G pins using pullup/down resistors. Just note that /G is inverted. To keep this transceiver enabled, just pull G high and leave /G floating. You can reference Table 8-1 in the datasheet.
For the input pins, these are called failsafe resistors. Failsafe resistors are not required, but they can be helpful. This transceiver only provides open circuit fail-safe. To achieve idle and short circuit failsafe, you will need to add these pullup/down resistors. You can use this failsafe guide to calculate them: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slyt324/slyt324.pdf
