We are currently using TI CAN transceivers in our automotive design and require clarification on a few technical points related to the following parts:
- TCAN1043ADMTRQ1
- TCAN1057ADRBRQ1
1. ISO Qualification Certificates
As per the TI product pages and datasheets, both TCAN1043A‑Q1 and TCAN1057A‑Q1 meet the ISO 11898‑2:2016 high‑speed CAN physical layer requirements.
We kindly request official ISO qualification certificates (or the process to obtain them)
2. Series Resistor on RXD Line – TCAN1043A‑Q1
The TCAN1043A‑Q1 datasheet and application guidelines suggests a series resistor in the RXD line may be fitted. We have used 1K and would like to confirm this is acceptable
3. Applicability of RXD Series Resistor to TCAN1057A‑Q1
The TCAN1057A‑Q1 datasheet does not explicitly recommend a series resistor on the RXD pin.
We would like clarification on Whether the same RXD series resistor used with TCAN1043A‑Q1 can also be used for TCAN1057A‑Q1. We have used 1K and would like to confirm this is acceptable
