Looking for a comment on the operating temp difference between the free air and junction temp ranges on the TUSB7320.

Hello Michelle,

Are you looking for a definition of both parameters? if so:

The free air temperature is the environment or ambient or room temperature where the TUSB7320 is, whereas the operating junction temperature is the temperature of the die inside the package or inside the IC.

It was the low temp that was confusing me. How the die works at -40°C but the outside air only at 0°C. I thnk this is just a typo somewhere and the temp range hasn’t been specified correctly. Let me know.

There is also on the data sheet in section 2.5, ordering information - it says Ta - 0-70 degrees C
