Hi,FAE:

    I found in the fault log that the value of status register 0x0C in 947 is 0x04, which means that the cable link not detected.

What is the detection principle of cable link when measuring the wiring harness to discover the fault situation as shown in the picture?

    Hi Zhan,

    Yes, the DS90UB947-Q1 device includes a feature to detect cable harness line faults. This function monitors whether the serializer and deserializer can successfully establish and maintain a valid link under the conditions outlined in the datasheet.

    However, it does not identify or report specific fault conditions individually. Instead, it flags a general fault status (register 0xC[0]) when any of the defined conditions are not met.

    For newer devices, additional diagnostics are available and you can read the ADC codes to gain more insight into the state of the link and help differentiate potential fault conditions.
