DSLVDS1048: LVDS chipset with continuous TDR?

Part Number: DSLVDS1048

Hi,

The distance to the receiver would be always known, and if problems arise, such as on a spacecraft, the LVDS control lines would self-detect problems.  Thus, there would be a built‑in, continuous Time-Domain Reflectometry, TDR‑style integrity monitor on the LVDS link, feeding into an adaptive anomaly detector like FuzzyART.  This probably would need a new chip set, and you can have this idea, so maybe someday I can use it in my electric rocket wires to the drive electrodes, if it works.  I'm planning to send short control pulses, so changing the input impedance to the receiver, to reflect the pulse, could be detectable, and its return time compared to a learned range, to see if goes out of range.  But for now I will use your fine DSLVDS1048 in a known-good circuit.

Thanks,
