TUSB320: TUSB320 DRP with Load switch

Hi TI team,

I am looking at using TUSB320 as CC controller for my design requirements mentioned below:

My board has a primary 5V power source but should also power up using the Type C port (via UFP mode) when the primary source is absent and I plug a charger. I am ok with 5V 3A power profile.
USB storage devices such as Flash drives should work on the Type C port (via DFP mode providing 5V 500mA default) when the primary source is available.

Can you please clarify on the load switch design implementation on how to achieve both requirements?

Hi Harsh,

Load switches are outside the scope of my expertise, but its seems the TUSB320 is the correct part for this application.

Please have a look at the TUSB320EVM. This may serve as a good reference for your design: www.ti.com/.../TUSB320-LA-EVM
