Hi,

The MC33063A operates in DCM mode, measuring the voltage across the switching transistor. At the beginning of each cycle, there is a clearly shorter ton and toff than the set value. Even after short-circuiting the current-limiting resistor, this phenomenon persists. We aim to determine the cause of this condition

    Hello liu jundong,

    MC33063A is not a fixed frequency converter. The switch is turned on if the output voltage is too low and the TC voltage rises and is turned off, when the TC voltage crosses the threshold. If the output voltage stays above the regulation threshold, the switch will not turn on while TC is rising.

    So the frequency is not fixed.
