Hi team,

My customer has some questions about TUSB2E11:

Which revision (B0 or B1) of the TUSB2E11 chip is mounted on our current EVM?
What is the configuration priority order among the OTP configuration, GPIO configuration and I2C configuration registers of this chip?

The device rev on the EVM should be B1.

This depends on how the repeater is configured. In I2C mode (SDA/SCL PU), the default register settings of the repeater will be starting values of the repeaters. These default values can be found in table 4-1 of the datasheet:

For GPIO mode(SDA/SCL low/float), the following registers will be changed depending on the status of the GPIO pins on startup:

Hi Ryan,

Table 5-3 and Table 11-3 in the datasheet seem inconsistent (The sequence in Table 5-3 is GPIO2, GPIO1, GPIO0, but in Table 11-3 is GPIO0, GPIO1, GPIO2). Could you please confirm which one we should follow as the reference?

Hi Eileen,

Thank you for your patience.

The sequence of setting these pins does not matter. The TUSB2E11 will sample all the GPIO pins at the same time on startup.

Hi Vishesh,

I'm confused that in Table 11-3, when GPIO0 float, GPIO1 pull-up, GPIO2 pull-up, the value of kinds of parameter would be 920mVp-p, 0.9dB, 1.09dB, 685mV, 98mV. But in Table 5-3, these values correspond to GPIO2 float, GPIO1 pull-up, GPIO0 pull-up.
