Input: USB 3.1 Gen2 high-speed signals from SoC (TX/RX differential pairs)
Application: Automotive IVI System (USB data switching / routing)
Output: Routed USB 3.1 Gen2 signals to USB Type-C connector (up to 10 Gbps)

Kindly let me know if any additional application details are required for this schematic review, or if any corrections or additional components are needed in the design. Also, if you have any layout recommendations, kindly let me know.

I have the below query:

1. Do we need to use the DLW21SH900HQ2B common-mode choke on the DP/DM and SS TX/RX lines to pass Automotive EMI/EMC testing? If not, could you please suggest any recommended alternatives or best practices?

2. Info: We have used the ESD diode as per the datasheet recommendation. Please confirm.

EMI/ EMC testing is a system level test and performance will very from one design to another. What I recommend is doing a CCM resistor coly. Have the resistors populated first if we see EMI/EMC issues we can populate the CMC instead.

This look ok. For even better protection I recommend adding a 0-ohm series resistor between the ESD diode and the TUSB1021-Q1. This will allow for RC tuning of the bus to make sure the ESD diode its triggered before an ESD surge reaches the TUSB1021-Q1.
