TDP142: Inquiry regarding Redriver recommendations

Part Number: TDP142

Hello,

My customer is looking for a redriver IC for the following conditions.

    - AP (DP 1.4 Support)

    - Sink: 7.8K eDP Panel (MST 2 stream, Single TCON Stitching Structure)

    - Transmission Rate: HBR3

    - Number of Channels: 4 Lanes

    - Control: AUX Controlling (DPCD control based on AUX channels)

Please recommend the most suitable product among TI's Redriver products.

    Hi,

    TDP142 is one possible solution. As a re-driver, it can support DP1.4 or HBR3 8.1Gbps. 

    It can also support 4 lanes. For AUX, it does not participate in the actual link training between the source and the sink, but snoops the AUX traffic for power management.
