We are currently evaluating the SBC of the TLIN1431 and have a technical question: If we switch from window watchdog configuration to a timeout watchdog configuration , will the SBC reset the MCU?

    Hi Isabel,

    I do not believe so I.e., I believe a reset occurs when the watchdog is not serviced correctly / when a watchdog violation occurs, rather than from switching from window to timeout.

    However, the MCU must also correctly service the watchdog within the new timeout period. I.e., if the firmware do not adjust its servicing behavior after the mode change, a watchdog timeout reset may occur, thanks.
