Hi team,

Do we have CAN transceivers with ASIL-B rating? My customer is searching one to build a ASIL-B system.

    Hi Xinyu,

    ASIL-B should be evaluated at the system level and not by a single component isolation. I.e., the system goal per the ASIL-B requirement should mainly be at the system level and not per the IC. Hence, customers should be expected to combine the overall safety mechanisms across the system to meet their system requirements.

    Although the IC should not be required to meet system level ASIL B metrics, all functional safety documentation are provided in the product folder as the only available documentation to help enable an ASIL-B system design. I would also strongly recommend the A-version (TCAN1044A-Q1) with a more robust ESD specification, thanks.
