TUSB2E221: Power Consumption under Modern Standby Mode

Hi Ti Expert,

From my understanding that the Modern Standby Mode refer to the L1/L2 mode in TUSB2E221.

But may I know what's the power consumption of VDD3V3 & VDD1V8 at this moment?

And just to clarify the overall power consumption of the TUSB2E221 under Modern Standby Mode, should we use the 6mW for reference?

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Hi Evan,

For this power state, we do not have data splitting up the power draw from the 1.8V and 3.3V bus

What is the concern here, why does the customer need these values?

1. From power loss evaluation, will need to consider the efficiency of the 1.8V/3.3V power source.

2. So for the Modern Standby Mode, is it defined as L1 state? So it will be total 6mW?

Hi Evan,

Can you clarify what Modern standby mode is? What USB2.0/ eUSB2 power state does this correspond to?

We need the customer to clarify what modern standby mode is before we can say what state the eUBS2 repeater will be in and the power draw of that state.
