DP83848-EP: Production test flow

Part Number: DP83848-EP

Hi,

Can you please give me information about the production flow for the DP83848-EP?

I found the reliability report on the product page, which gives information on the device qualification performed in 2017 or earlier.

But I could not find any information on how each production lot is tested, from the incoming wafer inspection onwards.

Are screening tests performed on every device from a lot and qualification tests done on a fixed number of samples from each lot?

Do you perform electrical tests at hot and cold temperatures, burn-in etc as part of the standard production flow?

Thank you!

Best regards,

Sudarsan Srinivasa

  • Hi Sudarsan,

What reliability report are you referring to? Did you already review the qualification report for the device? Regarding your subsequent questions:

    • Are screening tests performed on every device from a lot and qualification tests done on a fixed number of samples from each lot?
      • That is correct. A subset of the units is qualified from the lots. Pre- and post- ATE testing is performed on the stressed units to confirm that the parts didn’t fail from the stress. The sample size per lot and stress performed are listed in the qualification report.
    • Do you perform electrical tests at hot and cold temperatures, burn-in etc as part of the standard production flow?
      • Room temperature testing is performed in production on all units. Guardbanded limits are used to verify we screen out parts that will work for all temperature ranges we spec. This is an EP (Enhanced Product) part so no burn-in in production is performed

  • Hi Gregory,

    Thank you for the response.

The reliability report I was referring to is this: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sgzk025

Can you please send me a link to the qualification report that you're referring to?

I have a further question: in the datasheet, I see only nominal current consumption and power dissipation. Do you have numbers for the worst case current consumption and power dissipation?

    Thanks!

    Cheers,

    Sudarsan

  • Hi Sudarsan,

I can share this document over private message on E2E. I just sent you a friend request.

    Best regards,
