TPD6S300A: When is an additional external ESD diode required for CC/SBU lines?

Part Number: TPD6S300A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD6S300

Hi team,

I would like to ask about the cases where an additional external ESD diode is required.
My current understanding is that by connecting this device, ESD protection for the CC1, CC2, SBU1, and SBU2 lines can basically be ensured.

Could you please clarify under what conditions or use cases an additional ESD diode would still be necessary?

For example, are there specific system-level requirements, connector configurations, or stress conditions where the internal ESD protection of this device alone is not sufficient?
