BQ41Z90EVM: Can't communicate over I2C with using an external microcontroller.

Part Number: BQ41Z90EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, , BQ41Z90

Hello everyone,

I need help with the BQ41Z90EVM. I'm experiencing an issue where I can communicate with the BQ41Z90 using my EV2400, but can't do so with a Microcontroller that produces the same I2C clock.

Important things about the EV2400:

-I can't communicate using the I2C port, ONLY using the SMB port.

-I can't communicate connecting to J21, ONLY connecting to J11.

I connect the EV2400 over SMB to J11 and I see this I2c communication using a Logic Analyzer:ev2400.png

Then when I connect with an STM32L476G Discovery board, I use the same connector and see this:

The clock is almost identical, and voltage levels are similar, so I'm wondering if there's any setting or something that I might be missing, that the EV2400 does and I do not. I'm simply trying to read the Device ID so it shouldn't be a strange situation.

Thanks,

Julián
