TCAN1576-Q1: 24V System Compatability

Part Number: TCAN1576-Q1

We intend to use the TCAN1576 part on a 24V system.  This 24V system must be tested to at least 36V operational.  We require the partial netowrking and configurable wake available on the TCAN1576.  Is there any other TCAN part planned or existing that can handle 36V test and 24V nominal or is this part ok for that condition?

    Hi Theo,

    Currently all our partial networking CAN devices have a recommended operating condition up to 28V. That said you will need to step down the supply voltage using a voltage divider if VBAT is >28V. Working beyond recommended operating condition but within abs max rating means it won't cause damage to the device, but the datasheet specifications are not guaranteed.
