TCA9548A: Desiging with TCA9548ADGSR

Part Number: TCA9548A

Hello Team,
We are using the device TCA9548ADGSR in one of our products.
Can you please review the schematic of the same?.

1). The MCU side (SCL & SDA) of the device is at 3.3V while the slave side of the device is working at 5V (SCx & SDx).
2). Is there any problem if we connect another MCU at the downstream side?.

  • With VCC at 3.3 V, this will work.

I²C is a bidirectional protocol; it does not matter where you place master and slaves. But when you want to enable/disable channels on the TCA0548A, this is possible only from a currently active channel, i.e., it should be done from the upstream side (SCL/SDA).
