TS5USBC41: Determine if chip is a 410 or 412 based on device marking

Part Number: TS5USBC41

Hello, I'm using TS5USBC412IYFFR. Is there a way to tell from the device marking if the chip is a 410 or a 412 version? There's 2 lines of marking, line 1=45D8 and line2=TU41

I'm testing a new board and the chip passed 20V shorts to vbus but was damaged by 24V. The test is applied with and without power, VBUS is shorted to each dataline independantly for 60 sec.

Thank You

  • Hi Joseph,

Apologies for the delayed response due to the holiday weekend.

Top line of the device marking is just the date code. The bottom line indicates the device however the marking is the same between the 410 and 412 devices. Given that the device failed after 24V that would indicate that it is the 410 version since OVP is up to 20V on that version (24V for 412). Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
