TCAN11623-Q1: Use TCAN11623 only as an LDO

Hi, for a special hardware application we consider using only the 3,3V LDO part. CAN is not connected, and no input signal on the local wakup. nSLP is connected to Vldo. Is there any risk that it can accidentally enter sleep mode caused by electric noise, or a low voltage dip?

Hi Nils,

It's a common application to tie nSLP to the LDO so the device is remained in normal mode. Is your VIO also connected to 3.3V LDO? A UVIO will cause the device enter sleep mode.

The only risk I can think of is if your load on the LDO is significantly higher than what it is capable of (>100mA), the LDO could be turned off, which also brings the VIO down. With that the device will enter sleep mode.
