ISO1050: EOL of ISO1050DUBR

Part Number: ISO1050

Hi,

I am planning to design a new circuit using the ISO1050DUBR isolated CAN transceiver. Could you please provide information regarding its EOL (End‑of‑Life status and long‑term availability)?

Additionally, I have prepared the circuit schematic below. I would appreciate it if you could review the design and provide technical feedback.

  • Hi Sriram,

    Thanks for reaching out.

There's no EOL planned for this device currently, and if planned - it will be notified well in advance to all the customers. This is strictly followed as per TI policy mentioned here  - Product life cycle | TI.com

    On the schematic connection:

    1. Please add an additional 0.1uF capacitor on VCC2, preferably an 0603.
    2. Use a higher DC rated capacitors for all the supply decoupling capacitor, min 25V to recommended - the motive is to compensate for the DC bias derating of the capacitors.

    Regards

  • Hi Varun,
Thank you for your feedback. I have updated the schematic as requested: • Added a 0.1 µF capacitor (1206 package) on VCC2. • Changed all supply decoupling capacitors to a minimum 25 V rating to account for DC bias derating.
Kindly review the revised schematic and let me know if any further changes are needed.
    Best regards,
    Sriram S
  • Hi Sriram,

I suggested to have both 0.1uF+10uF on VCC2. Do not remove 10uF cap from VCC2.

For 0.1uF, it is better to have smaller package like 0603 for lower parasitics.

    Regards
