TLIN2027-Q1: K-Line support

Part Number: TLIN2027-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLIN1027-Q1

Hi team,

We are planning to use the this IC (TLIN2027-Q1 ) fro boar LIN as well as K-Line in a single IC. Do let us know wheter we can use it for boath the application simultaneously?

  • Hi Tejas,

Yes, please see this thread for additional information on K-Line considerations, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.

  • hi Micheal,

    The attached tread doesnt exist.

  • Hi Tejas,

I would recommend reaching out to your regional TI representative to help access links that may be internal. However, I will summarize below:

    • The device should be able to operate in K-line systems. However, the internal pull-up (~45 kΩ) seem to be significantly stronger than the typical 150 kΩ K-Line pull-up requirement per-node assumption and if we compare system loading equivalently, a 150 kΩ × 15-node network (for this example) should correspond to about 10 kΩ total bus resistance, which would be electrically equivalent to approximately 4–5 nodes (theoretically, 45k/10k), using TLIN1027-Q1.
    • However, we have seen the device operate with higher node counts depending on the system environment and recommend for customers to further validate per their system needs, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
