HI,

Our customer is considering the EP version because the standard HC4051 has low ESD immunity.

Is this device the same DIE as the standard product, with only the testing being different?

Or is it a product with a different DIE?

    The EP version can be used as a pin-to-pin replacement in designs for the standard HC4051.

    Thank you for your support.
    I apologize for the lack of explanation.

    Currently, the customer is using the standard HC4051.

    However, they are considering switching to the EP version because they now require additional ESD resistance.

    Looking at the datasheet, the specifications appear to be almost identical, with only the temperature range being different.

    However, changing the IC will require re-evaluation testing.

    If the products are on the same wafer (die), the evaluation testing can be reduced, which is why the customer made this inquiry.

    If the products are on different dies, please let us know.

    We will report back to the customer and ask them to re-evaluate the product.

    The products are not on the same die, so it would require the additional testing.
