Hi,

Can you confirm that TCA9554 is a drop-in replacement for the NXP PCA9554PW.

The datasheet do suggest some improvements on the TCA side.

What is the life expectancy for the TCA9554?

TCA9554 is drop-in to PCA9554 (NXP).

If you are talking about product life-time as in if we plan to end-of-life a device like TCA9554, we do not have a plan to do so.

Thank you, I indeed mend when its end-of-life is expected. So there might not be a plan to end it, but is there a guaranteed date till when it will be produced?

Hi Luc,

No guaranteed date.

But if any device would go first, it would be PCA9554 (TI). Both PCA9554 (TI) and TCA9554 is still widely used in the market as a base line I/O expander.
