Hello,
I'm working on community-maintained open-source firmware for the LZX
Industries "Diver" Eurorack video synthesis module, which uses the
TVP5150AM1 as its sync extraction and video decoder. The module was
discontinued, and a small community has taken over maintenance of the
firmware (https://github.com/homegrownVHS/diver-firmware-community).
The TVP5150AM1 datasheet (SLES209E, October 2011, section 3.21.39 and
3.21.43) recommends use of the latest firmware patch release, and the
patch loading procedure is documented in application note SLEA093
("TVP5150AM1 Patch Code Download Guidelines"). The procedure document
is publicly available, but the patch binary itself does not appear to
be downloadable from ti.com.
I would like to request the latest patch binary for TVP5150AM1 so we
can include it in our community firmware. We are specifically chasing
sync lock stability issues on marginal video sync sources, which we
understand from community discussion the patches may address.
The current ROM version on our parts reports 04h (per register 0x82).
Our use case is non-commercial, open-source community firmware for an
existing product line that uses the TVP5150AM1. Happy to provide any
additional details about our design or use case that would help.
