We are currently designing and running board-level thermal simulations for a new project that features the  TCAN1044ADDFRQ1  .

To ensure our Thermal analysis is highly accurate, could you please provide the PDML (Package Design Modeling Library) or detailed thermal model file for this specific part?

    Unfortunately, we do not provide additional models.

    However, you may not expect CAN thermal models similar to other devices. I.e., CAN transceivers typically have lower power dissipation for such level of modeling.

    Instead, you may use How can the power consumption of a CAN transceiver in active operation be calculated?, the thermal characteristics specified in the data sheet and the recommended pad layout from the data sheet to verify via your board-level thermal tool that the package will stay within its allowable junction temperature under worst-case current draw and ambient conditions, thanks.
