TXV0106-Q1: Maximum speed supported in the IBIS model

Hi Team,

We are using TXV0106-Q1 in RGMII signal path. When we ran the simulation in hyperlynx, we are seeing too much of overshoot and undershoot with the TXV0106-Q1 ibis file. Also, we have made sure this overshoot and ringing is not because PCB transmission lines by assigning another IBIS instead of TXV0106 IBIS.

 

Could you please let us know the maximum speed supported by the IBIS released in TI website(txv0106.ibs)?

 

Note : we are running simulation at 250Mbps data rate.

    Hello Mythili,

    From my understanding, yes this IBIS model can support up to 250Mbps.

    Since the TXV0106-Q1 has an integrated 10Ω damping resistor, we need to add the proper output series resistor to match a 50Ω load.
