DS80EP100: SLVS-200 redriver

Hi expert,

I am found a suitable deive for SLVS-200(Scalable Low Voltage Signaling - 200 mV) cable compensation, the SLVS-200 signal parameters are as below:

For the system, the IC need to cover the cable loss from type-C interface to SOC RX side. and it can be placed in type-C interface side or RX side, and the compensation capacity need above 6dB.

My question is as below:

if the DS80EP100 can meet these requirement? if Yes, do we have a design guide?
If no, do we have any other device can be used in the application?

Hi Jingguo,

This device was designed for LVDS, LVPECL, and CML signals which have higher differential voltages than what you are describing with SLVS-200. However, this device seems like it would work for your application since the eye diagram are at ~240mV. We do not have a design guide or a dedicated device for SLVS-200.

The 6dB is a typical spec and it was measured with a 1V input swing, so this is not guaranteed. However, this is the best device in our LVDS portfolio for this application.
