TLIN1028-Q1: Question about the values of capacitors

Part Number: TLIN1028-Q1

Dear TI experts,

My customer consider TLIN10283DRBRQ1 for their new project.

The PCB is very small, so customer have to choose everything very small.

And about capacitor for Vsup and Vcc, it is recommended as 100nF for Vsup and minimum 1.5uF for Vcc.

Could you check it once again for the values/power ratings of capacitors?

Customer's current consumption of Vcc is under maximum 10mA. (5mA typical)

Hi Chase,

1. 100 nF, 25 to 50 V is typical dependent on the system environment.

2. 1.5 uF and a smaller cap could affect stability. Larger values can be acceptable. 10 to 16 V is typical dependent on the system environment. Hence, we do not recommend reducing the VCC capacitor below 1.5 µF, even though the customer’s current consumption is relatively low. I.e., the limiting factor should be the regulator’s stability rather than the output current, thanks

According to your suggestion,

1. Capacitor for Vsup : 10nF, 25V is minimum value.

2. Capacitor for Vcc : 1.5uF, 10V is minimum value.

Yes. However, please note that 1 is for 100 nF rather than 10 nF consistent with the data sheet's recommendations, thanks.
