Hi Team,

The GPN page for this device is showing NRND but the OPN page shows active.

Is this device still recommended for new designs? Can you advise on expected lifecycle?

If not, can you recommend an alternate device here?

Hi Ethan,

I believe this device is NRND. There are currently no plans to end of life this product however.

Can you advise on what your application is and specifically what port you are looking to protect?

Hi Adrian,

This is for an HDMI application utilizing TFP410.

We need a voltage translator for the DDC channel and HPD signal. We have used TPD12S016RKTR for this purpose (and also for ESD protection and 5V current limiting) in the past. Would TPD12S521DBTR work now?

Hi Ethan,

I believe the TPD12S521 is more a protection chip unlike TPD12S016. I believe TPD12S016RKTR would be the best fit. There are currently no plans on EOLing this device.

Hi Ethan,

The reason why this device was NRND was due to the fact that the level shifting requirements on SCL and SDA were often too difficult for customers to meet. We have also moved away from investing in the HDMI protection space, so there is no alternative at this time.
