TVP5146M2: TVP5146 output data clock frequency

Part Number: TVP5146M2

i am getting dataclock frequency has 30.8MHz but i need 27MHz may i know what i need to do to get 27MHz..

  • Vinay

Are you providing a 14.31818-MHz clock as per section 2.3 in the device datasheet?

  • yes, 14.31818 frequency is coming checked in oscilloscope, may i know register setting required

    • The DATACLK is generated by an internal line-locked PLL.
    • The PLL uses the 14.31818-MHz XTAL as a stable reference to maintain timing accuracy.
    • The actual frequency of the DATACLK is determined by the Horizontal Frequency of your input video signal and the number of pixels per line you have configured.
Since the device is line-locked, the only way to achieve a 30.8 MHz DATACLK is to provide an input video signal with a horizontal frequency that, when multiplied by your configured "Pixels Per Line," equals approximately 30.8 MHz.
If you are using standard NTSC or PAL, you will typically see frequencies in the 24.5 MHz to 29.5 MHz range. A 30.8 MHz output would imply a high-speed or non-standard video input.
