Hello,

We are currently using the TMS570LC4357 pin L17 as a GPIO pin to toggle an LED high or low. However we are also using pin G1 to toggle another LED. Is it possible to use both of these pins as seperate GPIO pins? We are encoutering the issue where if we assign L17 as a GPIO, it also controls G1.

Hi Jim,

These pins should be able to be independent of one another. Could this be a board level issue, are you seeing this with multiple devices? Also, are you driving the LED through a driver? Since the GPIOs don't have enough drive current to drive an LED directly

Hi Peter,

We are seeing this with multiple devices, and the LEDs are being illuminated using drivers so it shouldn't be an issue. We can toggle G1 using it as GPIO[B], but when we try to toggle L17, it will link G1 and L17 together. Is this expected behavior?

Hi Jim,

I will let our Hercules MCU expert review this. What is the software call you are using for this? Is there a chance the call is accidentally setting multiple other bits in the same GPIO port?
