Hello:

I would like to inquire about the DPHY440, which can support up to 4 lanes at 1.5Gbps.
What is the effective optimized mipi routing length at a speed of 1.5Gbps?
Or, at a rate of 1.5Gbps, the platform requires a routing length of ≤ 211.2mm. However, our actual routing is currently 297mm, which exceeds the platform's requirement by approximately 86mm. So, to what extent can DPHY440 be optimized? Is there any data that can be referenced, Thanks!!!

    It’s hard to tell maximum length supported. With different transmission materials may have different results, also the clock rate, source signal swing, DE level of source signal, EQ capability of end point receiver will take an effect.

    The DPHY440 supports up to 4dB EQ on its Rx and 2.5dB DE on its TX. These features were intended to some extent to compensate the ISI loss in the channel.

    If you can measure or simulate the trace length against the DPHY440 compensation capability, then we will have a rough idea how much trace length the DPHY440 can uspport.

    As a repeater, DPHY400 is also intended to eliminate the timing skew due to channel differences. As long as the input timing within DPHY440’s spec requirement, it is able to re-align clock and data to improve the system’s timing margin.
