The TUSB8041-Q1 datasheet states that "The programming of the OTP is supported using vendor-defined USB device requests. For details using the OTP features please contact your TI representative."

Are there linux drivers available for this configuration? We are integrating this hub into an embedded linux system where we will need to configure the hub via USB on a Linux 4.19 kernel. Please reach out to me with all of the available OTP software tools.

On this same topic, does anything need to be done from the hardware perspective (resistor straps, etc) to configure the IC via OTP? The datasheet goes through configuration via SMB or EEPROM only.

Hi,

The OTP programming tool is only available on windows. We do not have any tools for Linux.

You may need to desolder the hub, place it on an EVM, perform OTP programming with windows and resolder back to the embedded linux system.

Is this feasible?

The OTP programming tool operates over USB, so no additional hardware configuration is needed.
