SN75DPHY440SS: Regarding the MIPI Retimer Series Configuration

Hi team,

Our customer is considering the adoption of the SN75DPHY440SSRHRR. During hardware evaluation, we found that the trace length on the input side is approximately 50 cm, and the design failed the compliance test. We believe this failure is caused by signal degradation due to insertion loss.

To improve the signal quality, we are considering using the retimer in a series (cascaded) configuration.

Question:
Is there any issue with using multiple SN75DPHY440SSRHRR devices in a cascaded (series) configuration?

No, there is no issue of using DPHY440 in cascading configuration.
