Transimpedance Amplifier question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ONET8541T

Hello everyone,

I'm working in a project that needs a transimpedance amplifier with about 4 or 5 GHz bandwidth. I've thought in ONET4291t, and I'd like to know if I can use a different photodiode biasing network (an external network) from the one that's provided by the amplifier chip itself. And, by the way, is there any way of activating or deactivating the DC cancellation?

Thank you,

David

  • David,

The ONET4291TA only has around 3GHz bandwidth. If you need higher then I suugest the ONET8541T.

If you bias the PD cathode externally, the AGC will not function in the 4291TA.

There is no way to disable the DC offset cancellation.

    Regards,

    Alex.
