THS8135: Tri-level generator

Hi:

I'm looking for a broadcast quality part that can generate tri-level sync given HSYNC, VSYNC, and video clock signals.  If the THS8135 isn't the right choice, can you recommend another?

    Hi Curt,

    Apologies for the delayed response.

    The THS8135 does support tri-level sync, but it's built into its DAC output stage, it doesn't generate tri-level sync purely from HSYNC/VSYNC/clock on its own. You'd still need to build the timing logic to feed it correctly. TI doesn't have a dedicated standalone tri-level sync generator chip in our current catalog that does what you're describing out of the box.

    Please also note that TI no longer offers design support for the THS8135. The information above was interpreted from the publicly available datasheet.
