*In our current design, we have used the TCA9803DGKR as a voltage-level translator for GPIO communication. The GPIO Is not toggling in VCCA Side.

*Could you please let us know whether this TCA9803DGKR part is compatible with GPIO Application ?Also please let us know is there any bidirectional Foot print compatible level translator is available.

The TCA980x works only with open-drain signals, i.e., the device(s) on the B side must never pull the line high, and there must no be any pull-up resistor.

It might be possible to use the TCA9517A/TCA9617A. What are the signal directions and frequencies?

In the mean-time, can you confirm that you are using open-drain signals, what is your input voltage to the buffer?

Do you have a schematic to share?

Dear Tyler,

We are using Push-pull signals as a GPIO ,

*VCCB - 3.3V

*VCCA-1.8V

And you recommended TCA9517A/TCA9617A whether this part support Push-pull signals ?

Hi Deekshith,

The TCA9803, TCA9517A, TCA9617A, TCA9617B all support open-drain signals only. Not recommended to use push-pull here as these are I2C buffers.
