Hello,

 

I have a customer who ordered pn : SN65LVDS1DBVT

qty. 120

 

Per customer: We have an issue with a mixed part on a reel received.
Bad LOT

IS: the label on the tape and reel is marked as 503731-2P1 (U9), but the part inside the tape and reel is marked as "LU18," which corresponds to VR6 (either 503813-1P1 as an alternate or 701245-1P1PB as the primary).

SHOULD BE: the marking and the actual part are matched.

 

Can you verify if this information is correct or they recieved the wrong part?

    Hi Alexis,

    A part marking of LU18 is not consistent with the SN65LKVDS1DBVT. I am not certain what is meant by VR6, is this a customer designator from their design, and is that how they associating it with the 503813-1P1 and 701245-1P1PB? 

    Do they have a image of the devices in question with the LU18 part marking, I'd be interested to see if this was even the right package.

    Hi Alexis,

    In the SOT-23 pictured the correct marking is expected to be SAAI. To clarify, there are closeups for 3 devices here, are they from 3 different reels, 2 different reels or the same reel?

    If you can share the reel packaging information that would be useful as well. Ideally I would like to know which reel corresponds to which device marking you have there.

    Hi Alexis,

    Its difficult to know for certain without direct testing, but based on the information you've shared on the top markings I would say these do appear to be the incorrect parts.

    I would recommend your customer contact their TI Sales representative, and that you proceed in your process for a return if they are requesting one.
